In June of 2009, CAPT was contacted
by a family in Earling Iowa in reference to paranormal events in their home. The clients also stated that their children were
being effected by this activity which put this case on top of the case load. The clients have the following claims of activity:
Full body
apparition of a female
Noises
Voices
Shadow figures
Physical touching
Persons injured
Lights turning
on and off by themselves
Rank and rotten odors
Mental manipulation
Objects being
moved under 20 lbs
CAPT researched the property,
as we attempt to do on all our cases, and gathered what little information was available. The home was built in 1877 with
additions added at later dates. The home has no violent history that could be found and has always been a dwelling.
CAPT arrived on site and met with the homeowners. We conducted a walk through of the
home and property and was advised of the areas of activity. CAPT took a few moments to have a short meeting as we had a brand
new person with us and then set out to set up equipment to cover the areas mentioned.
CAPT stayed as one (1) team this time and started the investigation on the homes second floor. The investigators
took out new member under their wings and showed her how we do things, soon an EVP and photo session was being conducted in
this area and the toy room. Chris was a bit more relaxed this investigation while asking questions and of the questions asked,
a response was given each time showing us that the entity “Claire” was intelligent. The questions asked were of
her watching the kids for their safety and is something else there. We got a knock and a “yes” out of these questions.
Another question was asked about someone other than her turning the garage light on, another knock was given in response.
CAPT then moved into the children's rooms and asked more questions. Connie, our
new member, became illish feeling and had to go downstairs while Gina was becoming angry for no apparent reason. The team
took a break and asked why this happened and Gina said she felt like hurting people and Connie said she was dizzy and getting
a headache in these areas. A CO2 meter was used upstairs where carbon monoxide was ruled out as the reason for these feelings.
Chris and Mark then went back upstairs to bless the area and while doing so Gina yelled
“stop” and “Stop pissing him off”. We concluded and heard the dog barking out front. We felt the entity
had gone outside so the team went outside after it.
The
rest of the house and grounds were covered and CAPT concluded the investigation, packed up the equipment and set out for evidence
review. All captured evidence is listed below.
