CAPT was contacted by a family in Oxford, Iowa to preform an investigation in a private residence. The home is outside of town and very old, dating back to 1875.

     The home is a beautiful brick building and for its age is in very good repair. The activity claimed in the home ranged from simple noises to physical touching and shadow figures. The home has quite a history including the possible murder of a child within the home's stairway. It was built in 1875 as were the servants quarters. It was a large farm operation back then. Most of the homes history was asked to remain confidential by the current owners including the original owners name. He died on the property and is said to still wander the grounds.

     CAPT members met at our Co-Founder's home at approximately 1400 hrs and had a discussion about the the home, history, and claims of activity. The team then departed Lisa's home at approximately 1500 hrs for the 2 ½ hour trip to the site in Oxford. The team arrived at approximately 1900 hrs after taking a wrong turn and met up with our newest member, April, in the town of Oxford proper. We again had a small meeting and conducted a meet and greet with April, then went to the home to meet the owners.

     CAPT arrived at the site at approximately 1915 hrs and met the owners. CAPT listened to the claims of activity and conducted a walk through, of the beautiful and well maintained home, being shown the “hot spots” where activity was occurring the most. CAPT then answered many questions the owners had about what the equipment did, as they were not familiar with the equipment or its use.

     At approximately 2000 hrs the equipment was set up and the investigation started. The team decided to stay together for the first part of the investigation and conducted an EVP session in the basement. Some of our members had a bad feeling in the basement so Chris entered first with the remaining team members following behind him. A voice recorder was placed in the basement for the duration of the investigation and a vigorous EVP session was conducted. The basement had one large room with 2 smaller rooms branching off from it and some members were unable to stay in the basement 's smaller rooms due to their feelings and the heaviness of the air.

     The investigation went up to the main floor where the suspected activity was occurring. Our cameras covered the kitchen, upstairs hallway and the stairs themselves. At this point the team split into two groups. Two members went outside to investigate while the other two stayed inside and conducted EVP work near the stairs and kitchen areas. Approximately half an hour later the team rejoined and the rest of the home was investigated.

     While in the home many EVP's were captured and personal experiences were also reported which are listed below.

NIKI: While siting in the dining room Niki saw what she believed to be a small boy sitting on the stairs looking at her. This caused her some concern and she informed the team of this occurrence. The next experience was while Niki was sitting on the stairs and saw a black mass slither over to her and down the stairs, this startled Niki and she was taken outside to recover for a few minutes. She soon reentered the house to finish the investigation. Niki also had eerie feelings while in the basement.

LISA: When CAPT arrived at the home and went inside a conversation took place between CAPT and the owners of the home. During this conversation Lisa was touched on the left ankle and a short while later heard shuffling of feet on the upstairs landing which was empty at the time. When CAPT entered the basement Lisa had reservations about the basement door before it was opened. During tear down Lisa was again touched, this time on the back of her torso causing her concern because of the previous claims of the owners of being touched.

LISA, APRIL, NIKI: These three observed from the yard what appeared to be a tall figure in a window on the second floor in an unoccupied room. We attempted to re-create this but were unable to do so.

     The investigation was concluded at approx 0330 hrs and netted many EVP's and a picture of a shadow all of which are listed and shown below with permission from the owner.
