Q: What is a Ghost?
A:
The spirit of a dead person, especially
one believed to appear in bodily likeness to living persons to haunt former habitats.
Q: Are there different kinds of hauntings?
A: There are different classifications of hauntings. They are as follows:
1.)
Residual haunting.
2.)
Intelligent haunting.
3.)
Poltergeist haunting.
4.) Demonic haunting. We will go more into how to define them
later in the site.
Q: How can I tell if my home or business have paranormal activity?
A: It can be very hard to determine if paranormal activities exist.
That is why we have invested
thousands of dollars into equipment.
Q: Do you go into an investigation to prove a place is haunted?
A: Never, We go into every investigation to disprove a place is haunted.
When we find something we cannot
explain, then we start to look at the possibility it is paranormal.
Q: What happens after I contact Carroll Area Paranormal Team?
A: There is a process that happens. After you make contact with us,
our case manager Lisa will contact you and go
over a list of things. She is gathering info at that point to get an idea of what we are going into. She will also schedule a time for the founders to make an initial meeting with the homeowners.
The initial phone call will usually take around 30 minutes. When the founders of the group meet the homeowners for the first time. They will gather more info and get a tour of
the place to get an idea of where everything is taking place.
The Founders will then schedule a time to do the investigation. When the team arrives for the investigation, the first thing that will happen is the team
will do a walk-through with the homeowner to
get a feel for the place. After that, the team will set up all electronic equipment. This process usually takes around an hour to set up and fine tune all equipment. When everything is set up and the team is ready,
the light will be shut off and the physical investigation
will begin. The team will work in pairs and will split up so
they can spread out to cover more of the house in a shorter time. When the investigation is completed, the team will gather all equipment and head for home. After they get
home and get some sleep, the team will start
to analyze everything that was collected the night before.
Analization of evidence may take several days as there is a lot to go through. When it is completed, the founders of the group will then go back to the home
and discuss all findings with the homeowners.
Q: Do any cases take precedence over others?
A: Any case that involves children being harassed will take precedence
over any case, CAPT can understand the feelings the parent will have for their child as we are parents also. Investigations
are scheduled as recieved so if you were
scheduled for an investigation, don’t worry, your case will not be moved to accommodate the other case. That is why we have multiple investigators.
Q: Is there anything that will prevent you from doing an investigation?
A: There are several factors that will keep us from an investigation.
Keep in mind we live in Iowa and the weather
can turn in an instant. Icy roads will prevent us from going Anywhere, If we find out that false information was given to us, we will not do an investigation. And if there is an emergency with one of the team members, we
will put the well being of
the team over all else.
Q: How long has CAPT been investigating?
A: We have been doing investigations since 2004.
Q: How much will an investigation cost me?
A: Absolutely nothing. There is never a charge for what we do. We do accept
donations for use in further equipment purchase, paranormal studies, and travel expenses and they are greatly appriciated.
Q: How far will you travel for an investigation?
A: We will travel whatever distance within reason to help someone.
We cover Iowa, Eastern Nebraska, Southern Minnesota,
Northern Missouri, SE corner of South Dakota, and Western
Illinois. We have a lot of paranormal groups out there we trust and will refer you to if it is closer for them.
